The last goodbye

As many have known, today(yesterday) we commemorated the demise of 5 great singapore atheletes,5 dragon boaters who have done singapore proud but drowned in a mishap in cambodia.Of the 5,1 of them is my friend,Mr Jeremy Goh,aka Da Tou as we know him.Although I did not really know him well,I was taken aback by the shocking news of his demise. We attended the same polytechnic and had some same lecture classes together iirc.

This proves that life is short and fragile. You never know what will happen to you the next moment. In my vivid memories,he was suave, muscular, helpful and I would say an eligible bachelor. He was almost the man of many girls' dreams. My friends and I knew that he was interested in a friend(classmate) of ours but perhaps he was too shy to pop the question...they were not to be together. We brought ourselves to question,if they had been together, would this mishap had occured to him?Only god knows now.

Anyways, today was really a sad sight, whereby in chinese they call it 白发人送黑发人。This is my second incident...the latter was my nephew who also past away a few weeks ago.I can understand the heartbreak and pain of the family of the deceased.Suddenly somebody so close to you becomes so far.Hearing those 'speech' will really tear your eyes.I could'nt hold back some tears even though I was'nt very close to him.

I have many thoughts that I wish to express...but perhaps somethings are better left unsaid.Just to conclude...treasure your loved ones, every moment.He/she may not be with you the next moment.May god bless jeremy and the rest of the dragon boat members.

Will blog again soon...
