22nd batch gathering

Met up with lih yong at city hall in the afternoon to purchase a birthday present for my cousin's daughter(my niece). Will be sharing the cost of the present with my cousin but I'll be paying most of it.Was undecided on what to purchase at first,asked a few friends and all giving me different opinions but finally took up the opinion of one of my closest friend(hope I still am).

Did'nt know that raffles place had so many stores selling baby/children products. Wanted to go to kiddy palace at first but after walking around level 3(i did my research on the net that kiddy palace was on lv 3),I still could'nt manage to locate where kiddy palace was. In the end I gave up and browsed around the various shops. Went to look at baby clothings but like what my friend mentioned, babies grow fast and I'm not really sure her size so I ruled that out. Next up was toys, pondered for a while over getting phonetic bus(it's actually a bus where can play music teaching A-Z) but was a little over my cousin's budget(cost $69.90) and she mentioned that my niece will get bored of it.

In the end,I took up the suggestion of my close friend,getting my niece 2 books,a book which produces sound teaching numbers and another small book which teaches A-Z at bras basah popular bookstore. Next, we(lih yong and me) went back to raffles place to get a 5 piece dining set at precious moments and a lullaby cd from robinsons. I also got a wrapper from precious moments as they offered to wrap the gifts up for me. Have to admit that the present was'nt really wrapped nicely, in matter of fact, it sucks!

After getting the present, we went to somerset to meet up with the rest of guys. They were already waiting at the restaurant(sakura). At the entrance of the restaurant, I happened to meet xian who was also going to have his dinner with his friends there(such coincidence)! Ate till fulling as I did'nt have my lunch in the afternoon. The guys present at the restaurant were mark,cck,wong zw,lih yong,jingda,yisheng,ah kok,primus,jf and myself.

After dinner,we splitted up. Went window shopping with lih yong,jingda,yisheng and jf at taka. Yisheng had to go home early while the rest of us bought drinks at Burger King and continued chatting about many various issues,mostly regarding work life. Went home at 1145pm and home sweet home at 1225am.

*Yawns*...i'm bushed after a whole day out,was actually supposed to go to cemetry as my family need to pay respect to my grandma since it's going to be Qing Ming Jie but did'nt =\. Will blog again soon...tml will be the start of my Jap Elementary 2 session. Gambatte!
